JIG Organisational Announcement – Tony Conway

The General Manager of The Joint Inspection Group (JIG), Tony Conway, has announced his intention to leave JIG in June 2018, after 6 years as GM, to seek opportunities to pursue his aviation career elsewhere. “It has been an exciting period in the development of JIG”, says Tony, “and I am extremely proud of JIG’s recent achievements for its membership and the wider industry. We are delighted with the many tangible results of the outstanding JIG team and expert committees, including Issue 12 of the JIG standards in 2016, the Inspecting to JIG Standards initiative opened to all members in early 2017, and our recent MOU to develop a closer working relationship with the airlines groups, IATA and Airlines for America. I hope that I have contributed to those successes, but the quality of the amazing JIG team means that I leave JIG in a strong position to continue to deliver industry leading positions.”

John Buxton, JIG Chairman, remarked “I’d like to thank Tony for his immense contribution and leadership of JIG over recent years, during which time we have grown our membership, transformed our inspector training and upgraded the management processes within the Company. The JIG Council all wish him every success in the future.”
